Child and Adolescent Evaluation Services

The child and adolescent neuropsychology and psychology services at Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Associates offer comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents with a variety of presenting problems. Assessment often aims to examine the child’s memory, learning abilities, information processing and language as well as helps to guide the treatment planning process. NRA offers comprehensive and detailed assessment reports based on the evaluation, which aims to make treatment recommendations that are informative, strength-based and realistic for the child and family. ImPACT
Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Associates utilizes the ImPACT Test (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). It is recommended that children and adolescents take the ImPACT test every two years or prior to the beginning of every contact sport season to determine their premorbid baseline functioning. We also use ImPACT test as one component of the evaluative process to determine the pre- and post-injury condition of the patient, track recovery, direct return to play decisions and assist in treatment recommendations.
