Forensic Psychology & Neuropsychology Services, PC

Our forensic psychological and neuropsychological evaluations include a thorough clinical interview, collateral interviews when appropriate, comprehensive record reviews, and a battery of psychological and neuropsychological tests which are tailored to each individual case and referral question.

Depending on the type of case, a review of the records can include but is not limited to discovery records related to the incident, medical records, school records, employment records, and psychiatric records.

At Forensic Psychology & Neuropsychology Services, P.C., we strive to provide reports that will meet the Daubert and Frye Standards of scientific validity and reliability for expert testimony. At FPNS P.C., we have learned through experience that a thorough and meticulous approach using scientifically validated techniques result in forensic opinions that are as factual, supportable and “bullet proof” as possible.

We utilize the “three-legged stool approach” of forensic neuropsychological and psychological assessment. The first leg of the stool is clinical interview and mental status exam. The second leg of the stool is collateral interviews, such as interviews of parents, co-workers, teachers, etc., as well as thorough review of all available discovery, medical and other records, such as military records, employment records, school records, criminal history, as relevant to the particular case. The third leg of the stool is reliable and valid batteries of neuropsychological and psychological tests, including measures of symptom validity and cognitive effort.

For our forensic cases, we have the availability of renting space through Regus in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for IMEs. We also routinely visit examinees in facilities such as jails or prisons on a national basis for forensic consultation and evaluation purposes.
